Mission Statement
To provide Animal Control not only for the protection, health, and safety of all Town of Islip Residents, but for the animals as well.
To provide temporary shelter and nourishment for unwanted, abused or stray animals.
   
To match unwanted animals with caring, responsible pet owners by way of an adoption process.
   
To return lost animals to their rightful owners.
   
Educate the public on responsible pet ownership and the humane care of the animal population.
   
To conduct ourselves in a manner that projects the Shelter – and the animals in it – in a positive, respected light..
   
To treat my fellow employees with dignity, understanding, and – above all – respect.
